Timeless American Indie Folk
Damien Jurado does not sit still. With his fifteenth studio album What's New, Tomboy (2020), the American singer-songwriter released his third album in as many years. After his memorable visit to St James' Church, he returns to Ghent for an intimate solo concert.
Songs full of comfort
For 25 years Damien Jurado has wandered restlessly between fiction and reality in his music. Every song is a miniature of life: sometimes fragile, sometimes self-assured, always searching. On his latest album he dives into the deepest issues in small stories. He doesn't promise certain answers, but he does offer comfort.
Live, the American songsmith proves time and again that he is a great performer. At the beginning of 2018, he played a legendary solo concert for the Handelsbeurs in Ghent's Sint-Jacobskerk. Cozy up as he throws a blanket over you and your friends in our concert hall.
