Intimate concerts in an imaginary garden

Dive into the summer together with the Handelsbeurs with a series of intimate concerts. For the occasion, the concert hall transforms into a green oasis, complete with plant jungle, softly singing birds and subdued light. Welcome to the Secret Garden of Ghent.

Compro Oro

Sometimes a band has to make a big detour to know where it belongs. That could be Havana. Or Mogadishu. Or Ghent. That's exactly what Compro Oro has been doing since their debut in 2015. They grew into one of the leading bands in the rolling New Wave of Belgian Jazz.

After touring the grooves of Central America, West Africa and the Middle East, on their fourth album SIMURG (2020, Sdban Ultra) they add specific Turkish psychedelic herbs to the mix, in a very exciting bond with Murat Ertel and Esma Ertel. Dijf Sanders assisted them as a producer.
