In the twelfth century, the German Benedictine abbess Hildegard of Bingen wrote songs for a single voice to express her spiritual marriage. Nine centuries later, the Italian Giacinto Scelsi’s compositions were also founded on religion and mysticism. The Goeyvaerts Trio explores both these worlds together with the early-music specialists Zsuzsi Tóth and Catalina Vicens.
