Foyer Matinee: Trio Daems-Leleux-Qizilbash
Pakistani maestro in a worldly trio
After passages with Black Flower and Tcha Limberger, among others, Nathan Daems is no longer unknown in the Handelsbeurs. He drops off from Brussels with a new trio based on a shared love for Indian and Pakistani music.
Maestro Asad Qizilbash generously shares his knowledge of Indian classical music and more danceable Pakistani folk melodies. Unlike the traditional Indian Bansuri flute and tablas, they are now accompanied by the tenor sax of Daems and Simon Leleux his doholla.
