Foyer Matinee: Philippe Thuriot (accordeon)

In 1917 Ravel composed his piano work Le Tombeau de Couperin. It was a tribute to the 17th-century French composer that the title refers to, which Ravel dedicated to the military dead of the First World War.

Philippe Thuriot has arranged it for the accordion. The other compositions in his programme are also poignant in nature.
