Boomtown - indie
Emma Ruth Rundle has been around a long time. As a singer and guitarist with the post-rock/psych-metal posse Marriages, as a member of the Isis-related post-rockers Red Sparowes and as the front woman of the atmospheric psych-folk/slowcore collective Nocturnes. And solo too.
She brings beautiful poetic numbers, wrapped in lingering soundscapes that lie somewhere between gothic-folk, post-rock, shoegaze and ambient. She constantly balances on the border between minimalism and heavy sounds and emotions. She has toured with soul mates like Mono, Deafheaven, Wovenhand and Russian Circles.
The excellent album May Our Chambers Be Full last year was released on the equally great Sacred Bones Records. And made us crave for her upcoming album with the new single 'Blooms Of Oblivion'.
