FRENCH/SWISS VIRTUOSITY

The fact that Sergei Prokofiev’s Sonata for flute and piano has become one of the most famous pieces of chamber music in the world is hardly surprising. Thanks to Swiss sensation Emmanuel Pahud – world renowned for his work as a soloist with the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra – and his regular piano partner Eric Le Sage, we can now enjoy this piece of lyrical neo-classical genius, along with vivacious flute music by other composers, such as Martinu, Poulenc and Dutilleux.
