Camille Thomas (cello)
On two Thursday afternoons, the concert hall of Handelsbeurs will be transformed into an oasis where young musicians offer stimulating musical lunch breaks.
After building separate solo careers, the Serbian sisters Lidija and Sanja Bizjak decided to form a regular duo in 2002. Their recording of four-handed piano music by Stravinsky has won many prizes. Come and hear the piano versions of Le Sacre du printemps and Ravel’s La Valse as they were played at the Paris salons.
The French-Belgian cellist Camille Thomas won over the international music world with her joyousness and sonority. At the lunchtime concert she will play a solo programme that includes Bach’s 5th Cello Suite.
