Nils Mönkemeyer (viola) & Andreas Arend (theorbo, jarana)

Time travel from Bach to Jimi Hendrix

A generation of outstanding violists are making a career for themselves in the wake of Tabea Zimmermann. One of the most flamboyant is the German Nils Mönkemeyer.

In addition to playing with the Julia Fischer Quartett, he also injects his love of chamber music into numerous other, often unusual projects. For his new baroque programme, he will share the platform with the German theorbo player and composer Andreas Arend.
