Keiko Shichijo (pianoforte) & Francesco Corti (klavecimbel)
A FINELY STRUNG FAMILY
A harpsichord and fortepiano in one sound box: it sounds like an instrument from a fable. Yet, this peculiar precursor of the piano first saw the light in the studio of the renowned piano builder J.A. Stein in 1777. Using the plucked and hammered strings of the fortepiano, the young duo Keiko Shichijo and Francesco Corti give Mozart & co a multi-coloured make-over.
New: Foyer Soirée
On some Monday evenings, the foyer of Handelsbeurs transformes in a cosy music club.
Each Foyer Soirée a musician or band introduces a new project. Listen to young Ghentian talent or established artists and begin your week with a bang.
